The Resistance 2000-20007 Posted on Saturday February 17, 2007 by steve
Hey guys, I guess this will be my last update for a while. In case you haven't heard The Resistance is no more. We've been plugging away for a while now and although it's not the happiest of times - at least I can say that we've come a long way in the past 7 years, met a lot of amazing people and shared the stage (and the road) with some amazing bands. I still can't believe I am typing these words, but as with all good things, they must come to an end.
As for new projects, Tyler is playing with Accepting Silence, and I'm playing with The Crackdown. As for Jeff and Nicole I think they're doing the whole school thing....needless to say we're keeping busy.
Oh yeah, and I've lowered all the prices in our "store", you can get a CD for $10 or a CD & a T-Shirt for only $15. All orders will come with a whackload of free stuff.
So yeah, that's it. We're done. Thanks, and goodnight.

T-Shirt sale! Posted on Monday October 09, 2006 by steve
Hey everyone, we've got a special sale going on right now. If you head to www.resistancemusic.com/shirtpromo we've got a bunch of our shirts on sale from our tours this summer. For a limited time you can get a shirt & CD for only $20 or if you have the CD you can pick up a shirt for only $12.
I've got a lot of goodies laying around so every order will come with free posters, stickers, patches and whatever else I decide to throw in. For more info email me @ steve.hallick@gmail.com or just go here.
If you haven't noticed us lately it's because we've started our winter hibernation, which involves working 9-5 and filling our brains with useless knowledge. Hope you are all well. We'll see you again soon.

Putting my foot where it belongs.... Posted on Sunday July 09, 2006 by steve
You know that old saying of "never speak too soon"? Well mark my words....a lot has happened in the Resistance camp over the last few weeks. First off, our tour was cut off early and unexpectedly after our van caught on fire 30 minutes outside of Montreal. We were able to get the flames under control but not after some serious electrical damage was done. Due to the nature of the fire, there was too much damage to salvage our van, so we had no choice to leave it in Ottawa. Luckily we were able to make it to Ottawa where we played our last show with our friends in FortyCentFix!.
We booked flights and were able to ship all of our gear and merch home safely, thanks to the fine folks at Quik-X (who saved us hundreds of dollars in shipping cost).
So here we are right now, at home, and broke. It looks like our tour with The Johnsons has been cancelled and our date at the Warped Tour might be aswell. More news on that soon, for the time being we have 2 shows coming up at the end of the month. First, July 28th in St. Andrews and second, July 29th at the Collective in Winnipeg. More info available in the tourdates section.
Thanks again everyone for reading up, and thanks to those who've helped us on our travels (especially James, John, Drew and Woodsy for all the good times)!!
